What our members receive
A diverse programme is provided annually and updated through the year. This includes interest groups and leisure groups as well as social events and visits. Interest groups give members a chance to attend many different subjects in such fields as art, languages, music, history, sciences, cookery, book groups, literature groups, card games, crafts and walking.
Talks are held regularly at the Seaford Baptist Church on a wide variety of topics, with something to interest all members.
There is a monthly coffee morning held at the View, Southdown Road the third Wednesday of the month and a monthly newsletter is sent to our members with all the latest "what's on". Our website is updated regularly, and we have an article published in the Seaford Scene.
Seaford u3a is affiliated to the Third Age Trust and through them our members have access to events and to summer schools and seminars in London and elsewhere. The Third Age Trust also has links with the Open University.

The u3a movement
There are local u3as all over the UK, which are charities in their own right and are run entirely by volunteers.
u3a is a self-help organisation with members participating by sharing their knowledge, skills and experiences for benefit of all members.

This is nationwide organisation for people who are no longer in full time employment retired or semi retired. For those looking to learn new things, enjoy new activities and meet others with the same enthusiasm to make the most of stage three of their lives, the motto is Learn, Laugh, Live !
