Membership

APPLICATION/RENEWAL INFORMATION AND TERMS OF MEMBERSHIP

An annual membership is currently £10.  Links to printable membership documents are at the bottom of this page.

For new membership, please complete the Membership Application form and send to our Membership Secretary along with your payment. Our membership year starts on 1st August and ends on 31 July. Part year 1st March to 31st July is £5. Alternatively bring it along to one of our monthly coffee mornings.

Renewing Your Membership
A form is no longer required to renew unless your contact details have changed, in which case please fill out the Membership Application and Changes form (link below).
If your details, address, telephone numbers and email remain the same, you just need to conform this by email with our membership secretary Membership Secretary , and pay your £10 subscription by BACS, or pay by cheque or cash at one of our coffee mornings held at The View on the third Wednesday of the month. Alternatively post to the membership secretary, whose address is on the form.
Please let the membership secretary know if you do not intend to renew.

Associate Membership
If you are already a member of another local u3a, you can
join Seaford and pay a reduced annual subscription. However, you must complete the membership application form and give the name of your main u3a.

Terms of Membership
All members must:
1. Abide by the Principles of the u3a movement
2. Act in the best interests of u3a and do not do anything to
bring it into disrepute,
3. Abide by the terms and conditions of the constitution
4. Treat fellow members with respect and courtesy at all times
5. Comply with and support the decisions of the elected committee
6. Advise the committee of any change in your personal details
Gift Aid
This applies to all new members or members re-joining after a break.

If your income is taxable, you may wish your membership fee to be treated as a Gift Aid donation. Please confirm this on your membership application which will enable this Charity to reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 that you pay on or after 6th April annually.

We ask that members notify our Treasurer if
You wish to cancel your Declaration
If you change your home address
If you no longer pay Income Tax at the higher or additional rate and want to receive the additional tax relief due to you.


Note: You must include all your Gift Aid donations on your Self
Assessment tax return or ask HM Revenue and Customs to adjust your tax code.

Privacy Policy
Seaford u3a requires members to provide their personal information so that we can keep you informed about events and activities that are offered as part of your membership.

In collecting your information Seaford u3a will:
Store it securely
Use it to communicate with you as a u3a member
Share your information with group leaders/coordinators for those groups you are a member of.
Send you general information about Third Age Trust which is the national organisation to which all u3as are affiliated.

Third Age Matters Magazine
The cost of the magazine is £4.00 for the whole or remaining part of
the year.

If you subscribe to the magazine but later decide that your data is not to be used for the direct postal mailing of the Third Age Matters magazine, please contact the Membership Secretary .
